Frequently Asked Questions
Will the enclosure fit my swim spa or hot tub?
Our enclosures suit any swim spa or hot tub, above-ground or in-ground. Every enclosure is built to size, so it doesn’t matter if your spa is a standard model or a non-standard shape.
What is the enclosure made from?
The frame is high-grade aluminium and the panels are safety polycarbonate. Polycarbonate is around 200 times stronger than glass, UV-resistant, and built to handle Australian outdoor conditions without yellowing or cracking over time. Unlike timber gazebo-style enclosures, there’s nothing to rot, warp, or repaint.
How does the retractable system work?
Each section slides along ground-mounted aluminium rails and nests over the previous one when you open it up, like a collapsing telescope. When fully open, the sections sit together at one end, leaving the spa completely clear.
Does it block UV rays?
Yes. The polycarbonate panels filter harmful UV radiation, so you get sun protection while using the spa even with the enclosure closed.
Can children get in unsupervised?
Every door comes with a locking mechanism, and each module has lockable stoppers to hold the enclosure securely in the open or closed position. It’s not a replacement for pool fencing where that’s a legal requirement, but it does add a practical barrier.
How long does installation take?
Most installations wrap up in a single day or two. KBL handles everything on-site, so you don’t need to organise a separate contractor.
How do I clean the panels?
A hose-down takes care of most dirt. For a deeper clean, wipe the panels with a soft cloth and mild detergent. No special products needed.
Can it handle strong winds and hail?
The aluminium frame anchors to the ground track, keeping the structure stable in high winds. The polycarbonate panels also withstand hailstorms without cracking or shattering.
